There are times when I am just glad to be single.
It’s not the nights of drinking til the end of reason.
Nor is it the lack of guilt when I catch that mutual glance with an attractive woman.
Truthfully, it’s when I am able to spend my afternoon to myself at the local bookstore, reading and pondering without bother nor care for the pastry crumbs under my nose, that I am grateful to be a man unattached and unhindered.
