The article definitely generalizes a bit too much, but it does raise some relevant points on how responsibility and initiative aren’t as prominent as they were before.
The recent Atlantic had an article on the reversal of gender roles in society. Though it’s more focused on the shift in marriage from the woman’s point of view, it gives a broader scope on how great changes have been occurring, at least in America.
Lastly, the article in the link has some pretty hilarious comments. The one I found especially funny was the first one by a man blaming the government and the feminist movement.
